On February 18th, Xiamen hosted the 2024 Overseas Fujianese New Year Investment Promotion Conference, where Fujianese entrepreneurs from home and abroad gathered to reminisce about their homeland and discuss new development opportunities. The conference provided updates on Xiamen's economic performance and investment attraction efforts, introduced the city's industrial system and support policies, and highlighted projects in the International Business Core Area. Over the past year, Xiamen's economy has consistently flourished, marked by notable strides in innovation, rapid development of a cutting-edge industrial framework, substantial progress in pilot reforms, a steadily improving business climate, increasing openness to the world, and enhanced quality of life for its residents. This year, Xiamen is set to further its initiatives by expanding the Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park and leveraging the unique financial cluster in the Fuzhou-Xiamen-Quanzhou and Pingtan areas. The city will also focus on bolstering and broadening its industrial networks through the national comprehensive freight hub project, enhancing the Fuzhou-Xiamen-Quanzhou Science City, and stepping up efforts to attract top-tier talent. Additionally, Xiamen aims to boost the synergy and productivity of its collaboration with Jinmen, push ahead with its comprehensive reform pilots, foster a seamless "unified urban living circle" with Jinmen, expedite the development of the Xiamen Xiang'an Airport, and amplify the influence of the Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou urban cluster.
